Open up your version of Excel. If it looks like the image below, then congratulations, you’re using the brand spanking new Excel 2016! The easiest way to distinguish 2016 from its predacessors is that it is the only version which has got the new “Tell me what you want to do” at the top which is suspiciously like the Office Assistant Paperclip but far less annoying. If it has capitalised Ribbon, but not the “Tell me what you want to do” then you’re using Excel 2013, as shown below: If it looks something like this, you’re using Excel 2010.
